Cannawigara is a locality in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia. It is crossed by the Dukes Highway and Adelaide-Melbourne railway line northwest of Bordertown. The southern end of the Ngarkat Highway is the Dukes Highway adjacent to the Cannawigara railway station. While the Dukes Highway runs northwest from Bordertown, Cannawigara Road runs due west. The name of the locality is drawn from the railway station, which in turn was named for an 1851 pastoral lease. The word is an Aborigi
