Caerwent Training Area is a British military installation at Caerwent, Monmouthshire, Wales. The large military site is situated north of the A48 road about 5 mi (8.0 km) west of Chepstow and 12 miles (19 km) east of Newport. Established as the Royal Navy Propellant Factory, Caerwent in 1939, it was originally dedicated to the manufacture and storage of Royal Naval munitions.
