There have been two baronetcies created for persons with the surname Buxton, one in the Baronetage of Great Britain and one in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. One creation is extinct while the other is extant. The Buxton Baronetcy, of Shadwell Lodge in the County of Norfolk, was created in the Baronetage of Great Britain on 25 November 1800 for Robert Buxton. The Norfolk Buxtons are thought to have taken their name from the Norfolk village of that name and to have descended from Robert Bux
