Burgate is a small village and civil parish in the Mid Suffolk district of Suffolk, England, about 5 miles (8 km) south-west of Diss in Norfolk. The church, dedicated to St Mary and dating from the 14th century, was restored in 1864 and is a Grade II* listed building. The parish includes the villages of Little Green and Great Green (north). Burgate Wood is a Site of Special Scientific Interest SSSI. Its 75 acres (300,000 m2) are particularly good example of the type of oak-hornbeam woodland char
