Bunești is a commune in Brașov County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of five villages: Bunești, Criț, Meșendorf, Roadeș, and Viscri. Each of these has a fortified church. The route of the Via Transilvanica long-distance trail passes through the villages Roadeș and Criț. The commune is located in the northern part of the county, on the border with Mureș County. It is 82.7 km (51.4 mi) from Brașov, 57.4 km (35.7 mi) from Făgăraș, and 34.6 km (21.5 mi) from Sighișoara. The commune is at the
