Bruno von Schuckmann was a German lawyer and consular officer. He was an imperial governor in German South West Africa and a member of the Prussian House of Representatives. In April 1890, Schuckmann moved as an "auxiliary worker" to the colonial department of the Federal Foreign Office, where he was promoted to the Legation Council in May 1891. As early as July 1891, he was sent to Cameroon to represent Governor Eugen von Zimmerer. Returning to Berlin at the end of January 1892, he became Germa
