Bruceantin is a chemical compound that was first isolated from the plant Brucea antidysenterica in 1973. Chemically, it is classified as a secotriterpenoid and a quassinoid. Bucreantin has attracted interest as a potential antitumor drug because of its antineoplastic activity.
