Broken Shadows is an album by the American jazz saxophonist and composer Ornette Coleman recorded in 1971, at the same sessions that produced Science Fiction, but not released on the Columbia label until 1982. The contents of the album were included in the 2000 compilation The Complete Science Fiction Sessions. Broken Shadows was the inspiration for the band of the same name, featuring saxophonists Tim Berne and Chris Speed, bassist Reid Anderson, and drummer David King.
