Britain Quay is a street and quay in Dublin on the south bank of the River Liffey between Sir John Rogerson's Quay and the confluence of the River Liffey, River Dodder and Grand Canal. Originally known as Great Britain Quay, the quay was built in the 1790s as part of the opening of Grand Canal Dock. The quay was widened in the mid-19th century, with works undertaken to dredge and deepen the riverbed alongside the quay wall in the 1870s. In 1873, Great Britain Quay was recorded as being 250 feet
