Francis Borden Mace, in Beaufort, North Carolina, was an American film producer. Mace died on November 21, 2014, in Salisbury, Connecticut. Mace produced hundreds of films, many of them for the military, in a career spanning decades. During the post World War II period he worked on numerous projects with his mentor, producer Louis de Rochemont, notably on Alfred L. Werker's quasi-biographical Lost Boundaries, which was one of the first U.S. films to feature black actors in professional positions
