text: Blitvenica Lighthouse is an active lighthouse on a Croatian islet of the same name, at the extreme western end of the Šibenik archipelago, and lies to the southwest of the island of Žirje in the Adriatic Sea. The steep rocky islet lies next to a deep water abyss with depths reaching 200 metres (660 ft), with the steeply shelving sea floor containing red coral.
