Bhabanipatana is a town and the headquarter of Kalahandi district in the state of Odisha, India. Bhabanipatana has numerous Hindu temples dedicated to different deities. It is named after the presiding deity, Bhabani-Sankar, and Patana, which means "place" in Odia. Bhabanipatana municipality is the administrative head of the town, which is divided into twenty wards with different sub-areas called para. Bhabanipatana has more than forty padaas.
