Bergfrid Fjose was a Norwegian politician for the Christian Democratic Party. She was born in Ullensvang as the daughter of priest and politician Jon Mannsåker; her brother was the historian Dagfinn Mannsåker. She enrolled as a student in 1935, took the teacher's examination in 1938 and worked as a teacher at Valdres folk high school from 1938 to 1943. From 1943 to 1945 she was a refugee in Sweden due to the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany. From 1947 to 1949 she worked in Kvam. She was elec
