Bekbele is a neighbourhood of the municipality and district of İskenderun, Hatay Province, Turkey. Its population is 8,148 (2022). Before the 2013 reorganisation, it was a town (belde). It is situated mostly to the east of Çukurova Motorway and is almost merged to İskenderun. The distance to Antakya is about 80 kilometres (50 mi). The settlement was founded by a tribe named Abacılı from Dulkadir territory of the Ottoman Empire towards the end of the 18th century. According to mayor's page, Abacı
