The Battle of Lorette Hill was a series od military engagements between the armies of Germany and France on the Western front of World War I, lasting from October 1915 to September 1915. The fighting took place neat the Notre Dame de Lorette chapel on the Coquaine Hill, Pas-de-Calais in north-western France. Strategicaly important uphill post was occupied by the Germans on 7 October 1914 during the battle of Arras, since then their positions were attacked by the French army during the First Batt
