text: Battaristis orthocampta is a moth of the family Gelechiidae. It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1914. It is found in Guyana. The wingspan is 9–10 mm. The forewings are grey or pale greyish ochreous, somewhat tinged with fuscous towards the dorsum and with a black dot beneath the fold at one-fourth. The plical and second discal stigmata are blackish and there is a thick blackish streak along the costa from two-fifths to the apex, attenuated anteriorly, cut by a fine white very oblique strigula
