Avidyamaya and Vidyamaya are concepts created by the Hindu sage Ramakrishna based on his mystical realizations. Literally, vidyamaya means "wisdom-illusion", and avidyamaya means "un-wisdom-illusion". Ramakrishna implied that all things, good and bad, were maya (illusion).
