Aulacostephanus is an extinct ammonoid cephalopod genus from the Upper Jurassic Tithonian belonging to the perisphinctoidean family Aulacostephanidae. Aulacostephanus produced a discoidal, strongly ribbed, evolute shell of moderate size, reaching diameters of 16 cm (~6.5in.), or so.
