Askola is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the Uusimaa region. The municipality has a population of 4,700 and covers an area of 218.03 square kilometres (84.18 sq mi) of which 5.61 km (2.17 sq mi) is water. The population density is 22.12 inhabitants per square kilometre (57.3/sq mi). Monninkylä is the largest village of the municipality in terms of population. Neighbouring municipalities are Myrskylä, Mäntsälä, Pornainen, Porvoo and Pukkila. The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
