Ustad Ashique Ali Khan (1948–1999) was a Sarangi player, born on 28 October 1948 in Kirana, Uttar Pradesh to a family of Sarangi exponents. He belongs to the Kirana Gharana of Indian Classical Music. At the age of ten, he attained the first position in vocal music and in playing the harmonium, in a contest organised by Prayag Sangeet Samiti, the Ustad was also drawn towards this rare musical instrument.
