Armand Crekillie, was a general in the Belgian Armed Forces, he was Chief of Defence in 15 March 1972 to until 31 October 1979. Crekillie, a lieutenant general of the Air Force, was born 1921 in Oostende, Belgium, and enrolled in the Belgian Armed Forces as a volunteer in the Great Britain in 1941 through which he enlisted in the section of the Royal Air Force, he became pilot officer in 1943 and of which in 1944, he was made to as flying officer one year after promotion to as flying pilot.
