Arignota stercorata is a moth in the family Xyloryctidae. It was described by Thomas Pennington Lucas in 1894. It is found in Australia, where it has been recorded from New South Wales and Queensland. It is also found in Papua New Guinea. The wingspan is 28–35 mm. The forewings are white, with a number of pale leaden-coloured spots imitative of birds' droppings.
