(+)-α-pinene synthase is an enzyme with systematic name geranyl-diphosphate diphosphate-lyase [cyclizing, (+)-α-pinene-forming]. This enzyme catalyses the following chemical reaction Cyclase I of Salvia officinalis (sage) gives about equal parts (+)-α-pinene and (+)-camphene.
