text: Aleksandrów is a village in Biłgoraj County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina called Gmina Aleksandrów. It lies approximately 16 kilometres (10 mi) south-east of Biłgoraj and 91 km (57 mi) south of the regional capital Lublin. During the German occupation, Aleksandrów was in the midst of partisan activity against the local German garrison, and the ensuing Operation Sturmwind II that culminated in the Battle of Osuchy.
