title: Acusilas coccineus
text: Acusilas coccineus is a species of spider in the family Araneidae, found from India and China to Indonesia. In India particularly, it has been known by the synonym Phonognatha vicitra Sherriffs, 1928, but this is based on a misidentification. In India, it is found in woodlands and among shrubs. It is a small orb-weaver. The spider is distinguished by having a curled leaf at the center of its web, in which it shelters. The curled leaf also shelters eggs.
