Aarhus Municipality, known as Århus Municipality until 2011, is a kommune in the Central Denmark Region, on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 469.56 km (181.30 sq mi), and has a population of 367,095 as of 2024. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the city of Aarhus.
