text: The 9th Heavy Artillery Regiment is an inactive heavy artillery regiment of the Italian Army, which was based in Verona in Veneto. Originally an anti-aircraft artillery center of the Royal Italian Army, the center was reorganized as a heavy artillery regiment in 1930. In 1937 the regiment was transferred to the Guardia alla Frontiera, which was tasked with manning the fortifications of the Alpine Wall. During World War II the regiment formed two Guardia alla Frontiera artillery groupings, which
