The film is a portrait of Jessea Lu, the Chinese freediver who nearly died during a 2018 attempt to set a new world record in her sport, centring on both the incident and her physical and emotional recovery. The film premiered on March 8, 2024, at SXSW, and had its Canadian premiere on April 26 at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival.
