text: The 26th Canadian Film Awards were held on October 12, 1975 to honour achievements in Canadian film. The ceremony was hosted by radio personality Peter Gzowski. The CFAs were expanded into a week-long event in Niagara-on-the-Lake which included all-day screenings, a National Film Board of Canada retrospective, and daily 'Meet the Filmmakers' programs.
