The 201st Battalion, CEF was a unit in the Canadian Expeditionary Force during the First World War. Based in Toronto, Ontario, the unit began recruiting during the winter of 1915/16 in that city. The battalion was disbanded while still in Canada, and its men were transferred to the 170th Battalion, CEF and 198th Battalion, CEF in September 1916. The 201st Battalion, CEF had one Officer Commanding: Lieut-Col. E. W. Hagarty. From The T.L.I. Gazette, the memorial publication of the 201st Battalion
