Grigor Dimitrov defeated David Goffin in the final, 7–5, 4–6, 6–3 to win the singles tennis title at the 2017 ATP Finals. Dimitrov became the first debutant to win the title since Àlex Corretja in 1998, and it marked the first time since 2008 that two first-time finalists contested the final. Andy Murray was the reigning champion, but did not qualify for the event this year due to injury. This marked the first time since 2013 that he did not participate in the tournament.
