They were members of the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference. They were led by fourth year head coach Kevin Sumlin. The Aggies finished the regular season 8–5 overall and 4–4 in SEC play. They were invited to the Music City Bowl, where they were defeated by the Louisville Cardinals, 27–21.
