The 2005 team is noted as having the weakest record among any team to qualify for the postseason, finishing 82–80, tied with the 1973 New York Mets for the fewest wins ever in a non-shortened year since Major League Baseball expanded to a 162-game season in 1961, and the fewest of any team since 1885.
