The 2005–06 Los Angeles Kings season was the 39th season for the National Hockey League franchise. It began with wholesale changes, as during the off-season the Kings acquired centers Pavol Demitra and Jeremy Roenick to help solidify their offense, as well as goaltender Jason LaBarbera. The changes appeared to pay off, as the Kings stormed out to a 15–6–1 record, and first place in the division.
