The 1996 West Virginia Democratic presidential primary was held on May 12 in the U.S. state of West Virginia as one of the Democratic Party's statewide nomination contests ahead of the 1996 presidential election. While incumbent president Bill Clinton comfortably won the contest by a 73-point margin, West Virginia was Lyndon LaRouche's best state, amassing 13% of the vote.
