text: The 1990–91 WHL season was the 25th season of the Western Hockey League (WHL), featuring fourteen teams and a 72-game regular season. The Kamloops Blazers won their second consecutive Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy for posting the league's best regular season record. In the playoffs, the Spokane Chiefs defeated the Lethbridge Hurricanes to win the club's first President's Cup title, before going on to win the 1991 Memorial Cup tournament, becoming the second American club to win the championship.
