It was hosted by London, England, with events held at White City Stadium. The 4th Summer Deaflympics Games were originally scheduled to be held from 2 to 13 September 1936 in Berlin, but was decided to host it in 1935 due to the schedule of 1936 Summer Olympics. The tournament saw the debut of an American team.
