The 1930 Paddington South by-election was held on 30 October 1930. The by-election was held due to the death of the incumbent Conservative MP, Commodore Douglas King. It was won by the Empire Free Trade Crusade candidate Ernest Taylor. On Wednesday 20 August 1930, King's cutter yacht Islander sank in a gale near Fowey, Cornwall.
