The 1830 Virginia gubernatorial election was held on 16 January 1830 in order to elect the Governor of Virginia. Former Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Virginia's 20th district John Floyd defeated fellow Democrat and former member of the Virginia House of Delegates from Stafford County Peter V. Daniel in a Virginia General Assembly vote.
