The 12th Jutra Awards were held on March 28, 2010 to honour films made with the participation of the Quebec film industry in 2009. The nominees were announced on February 16. Through the Mist, a biopic about Dédé Fortin, lead the ceremony with ten nominations. It ended up winning four awards, including Best Actor for Sébastien Ricard and Best Original Music which was awarded posthumously to Fortin. Denis Villeneuve's Polytechnique won the most awards of the night with five, including Best Direct
