Divya desam in general refers to a Vishnu temple where the rituals are based on Vaishnavism. All the Divya desams are sung by Mangalasasanam by Vaishnavite saints named Aallhvaars. In the universe, there are 108 Divya desams out of which 106 are in the Earth and the other two are outside the earthly realms.
